Moreton Hospital
Plans are released to build a new Hospital for Moreton. Funding has been promised in 2007 and plans are to open in 2010
This will include new surgeries on the same site as well as outpatients.
The x ray deprtment will be upgraded as well as the Minor Injury Unit.
It may be possible to add other services on one site such as Ambulance srvices and a Dentist.
The GPs in Moreton are all working together on such an exciting project with the PCT.
Moreton Floods
Since the floods in July 2007 the main surgery has been out of use in Moreton.
We are fortuanate to have the use of rooms at Moreton Hospital to hold surgeries and these are sited in the old Day Hospital and run daily.
Extra surgeries have been set up at Blockley Branch Surgery together with new computer links to access medical records.
We are grateful for patients who have coped with these arrangements despite having extra travel to get to their appointments.
The surgery in Moreton is due to reopen in early March partly and fully in May.
At the present time all dispensing is done at Blockley and orders from Moreton are brought over for collection.
Unfortuanately this means a slight delay in recieving prescriptions so please order a few days earlier than usual to avoid delay.
