Covid Vaccination Update

Firstly, thank you to everyone who has responded to our invites for the Covid-19 vaccine. As soon as we have clinic dates, we will contact the relevant patient cohort group and offer appointments. The cohorts are imposed by the Government and we are currently working on 1st vaccines for Cohort 6, patients age 16-64yrs with specific underlying health conditions. We have today started 2nd vaccines for our over 80s patients that received their 1st vaccine before Christmas.

If you fall in to either of these patient cohorts, We will telephone or text you in the very near future.

The Primary Care Network (PCN) have continued to offer a fabulous Hub at North Cotswold Hospital, offering a well drilled process for receiving the vaccine . We have seen this through the amount of praise, letters, cards and emails of gratitude and thanks. The incredible team and over 100 volunteers ensure the system runs smoothly and patients have a positive experience. The community support has been amazing, including (GFRS) Fire Service team from Station 17, Moreton in Marsh, patients, retired staff, our partner volunteers from Fire Service College Parkrun and many many more – all pulling together, always cheerful and willing to help. If anyone would like to volunteer, please email Jess.campbell1@nhs.net.

The team has been very grateful for the deliveries of cake, biscuits and bacon sandwiches which is keeping their spirits high!

Please can I ask if you have any queries regarding the vaccine that you email the surgery or telephone in the afternoon. We are and always have been open for General Practice and the phone lines are extremely busy during morning clinics. We have been made aware that patients sometimes struggle to get through to the surgery, I can only apologise for this. We are here, we are busy, we are doing our best. Please have patience with us, if your call is not urgent, please try at an alternative time.

Once again :
Thank you to all patients and staff
