The staff at the local surgeries and the vaccination team at North Cotswolds Hospital have now vaccinated the majority of patients aged over 75 years in the North Cotswolds with the 1st dose of Covid-19 vaccine.
The majority of patients in resident care homes and their staff have also been vaccinated in the last few weeks.
The 1st delivery of the Oxford AstraZeneca vaccine has arrived and is now being administered to housebound patients, in the local area.
Unfortunately, our programme has now been suspended to allow vaccine to be delivered to areas of the country where there are still people over 80 to vaccinate. As a result the large delivery of vaccine we were expecting this weekend was cancelled.
As soon as we are able to secure another delivery of vaccines and are given the go ahead to move further down the cohorts we will be in touch with patients to book appointments.
These will be patients aged over 70 and those who are clinically extremely vulnerable, If you fall into this group please let us have your up to date contact details, including mobile numbers – as we both phone and text patient booking information.
